This book was a struggle mainly due to the fact that I have second hand embarrassment. When I feel like something is going to get testy or theirs a whiff of silly drama, I have to put the book down. So, this novella took me much longer than usual to finish because there was drama and misunderstandings aplenty.

I’m very glad I stuck with it though because seeing these 2 people who loved each other once try to figure out if they can love each other again was a great read. Watching as Jax tries to woo Amina was convincing. I was not on his team at the start but I quickly came around.

And the author knows their way around the sexy sexy times because whew chile. The spice was spicing! It was worth the read if only for those scenes. Now on to read book 2.
