If you read book 1, which I highly recommend that you do, you already know to be ready for some nonsense and shenanigans! After reading book 1, I didn’t know who book 2 would be about, so I was pleasantly surprised to get Landon’s story.
•
We start many months after book 1 ended. Landon, Menace and their sisters are trying to be more a traditional family with regular meet ups. Landon was too young to remember his parents but he’s seeking family. He meets Navy, Greene’s cousin, at a party and is immediately smitten. She’s unlike the other women he meets in that she’s not impressed by his name, money or his family’s businesses. And, as he’s getting over a woman he’s been pursuing, it seems as good a time as any to try something new.
•
Navy is a social media influencer and has found her niche in being a real girl from Brooklyn. Her boyfriend is about to go pro but she hasn’t been interested in the direction that life is taking them. Add in that she doesn’t want kids and he keeps “joking” about trapping her, all is not well. So, meeting Landon who is not only gorgeous but seems to genuinely want to know more about her and she’s intrigued enough to give him a chance.
•
They both try to protect their hearts but slowly fall for one another. It’s beautiful to witness Landon, who wants nothing more than a family, be welcomed so easily into one. Navy works hard to retire her hardworking and loving parents but can she do that when being an influencer can be more work than it used to be.

Now, I knew going in that there would be lots of beat downs and killings. Book 1 prepared me well, so it wasn’t a shock to read it here. And, also like in book 1, the author knows her way around the sexy sexy times because babee! It is often, creative and explicit!

I enjoyed this book, love that it suggests songs you should listen to in particular chapters, and can’t wait to finish this series and read the other books in this world.
4 out of 5 stars/Highly recommend
