Santa's Lil Librarian by Nubian

Whew chile. Hold on because this book starts off with some shenanigans and keeps the crazy going nonstop.

We first meet Baron on a job. It’s close to Christmas and he’s anxious to get to his girl…but the girl in question doesn’t know he’s coming or that he considers that she’s his.

Teyanna has been in love with Baron since she was 14 but fell out of love when he embarrassed her on the worst way when they were 18. She hasn’t seen him in 12 years, so she’s doubly surprised when she finds him breaking into her book shop and professing that he’s back to win her heart. Never mind that she’s lowkey still infatuated with him, but she hasn’t been a virgin all these years to give it up that easy.

To say Baron works hard to convince her that he’s the 1 is an understatement. He’s blunt to a fault, has no filter, has questionable jobs that makes him a lot of money and lies when it works for him. But, everything he’s done up to this point has been to prepare himself to be Teyanna’s man. He can provide for her financially and (more importantly for the purpose of this story) sexually.

When I say this man is ready, he is READY! He’s learned all the tips and tricks of the trade to be all the man she’ll need. Anything that she has ever thought of from reading her romance novels, he’s gone out of his way to provide. Because of that, this book is not for the reader who does not appreciate graphic depictions of their sexy sexy times. The author seems to take great delight in describing EVERYTHING.

I’ll admit that there are a number of times where Baron was unlikable. He usually redeems himself but he’s definitely morally grey. Teyanna too in certain situations. And that might be why they work. They’re good to the people they love, ambivalent to those they don’t know and downright diabolical to those that cross them.

I’m not sure I’ll read any other books in the series, but I’m not mad I read this one. The author is silly, has great word play and knows their way around the bedroom, car, table…
