This is quick on getting right to it and I’m not complaining. Even the “relationship” between Genai and Khalan was believable and understandable once you realize they’ve actually known each other for sometime without really knowing it.

And once they get started, just hold on because the sexy sexy times did not come to play. You’ll be clutching your pearls and fanning yourself at the same time. What you won’t do is put the book down because you knew what you were getting into as soon as you started reading!

The only thing that took me out was some of the editing, or non editing, choices. There were parts where it wasn’t immediately clear who was talking/thinking. It could take you out of the scene a bit as you try to figure out whose vantage point you’re reading. It’s still a story worth reading, but be prepared for that.
