This came up on my IG feed. The summary seemed interesting and, of course, I already owned it! 🤦🏽♀️ I hadn’t reviewed it, so assuming it was new to me, I dove in.

This book ends in a cliffhanger, so you’ve been sufficiently warned. Thankfully all of the books are available, but prepare yourself now for reading the entire set.
•
Eva is the oldest daughter in a billionaire family. She’s the fixer, the one expected to keep the calm, but she’s also in her 30s. As such, she’s being not so subtly pressured to get married and have a family of her own. It’s during one of these conversations with her mother that Finn (also the eldest son in another old Mindy billionaire family) saves her from an uncomfortable matchmaking.
•
Finn knows what it’s like to be the responsible child and finds joy in helping out Eva. And, it’s during a spontaneous outing that he suggests that they pretend to date, thereby getting both of their mothers off their backs for a little while.
•
Of course it’s never that simple because both are harboring family secrets. However, the joy that this fake dating scenario brings to both of them is too tempting to give up. But once a fake dating leads to a fake engagement, things start feeling a little too real.
•
As I stated, this ends on a cliffhanger that I was not surprised by. It’s enough to make me keep reading through the other books as you’ll get invested in Eva and Finn’s relationship and want to know how it ends. My rating stands but I might adjust once I’ve read the rest of the books in their story.
